The mission of the Georgia Vegetation Management Association (GVMA) is to act as a means for extending the knowledge of individuals who have expressed interest and have experience in the management of vegetation. The GVMA endorses the belief that each person responsible for managing vegetation is also a steward of the environment and shall consider all valid environmental concerns when making decisions for the proper management of vegetation.

The intention of this fellowship of vegetation managers is to collect, discuss and disseminate accurate and up to date information regarding vegetation management. The objective will be to provide members and other interested persons the tools necessary to make prudent and knowledgeable decisions in managing vegetation.

The association will be a strong advocate of integrated vegetation management practices. Many of the benefits and added values that our society enjoys require that certain practices be utilized. The association will encourage mutual understanding and respect among those engaged in the practice of managing vegetation.
