New Members—Steve Stewart with Georgia Power (replacing Jimmy
Etheridge), William White with BASF (replacing Jonathan Smith).
This year’s meeting summary;
Next Year’s Meeting-Jekyll Ocean Front Resort-April 6-8, 2005
Treasurer’s Report;
We had 183 attendees at this year’s meeting(a new record).
The association’s current bank balance is $ 13,245.61.
Discussion
by the board of the possibility of setting up of a scholarship program.
Werner Kralick was going to check with his brother-in-law about
the prospect of setting up a separate account for endowment or scholarships.
Ricky Dockery will check with his company to see how they set up
scholarships. They are to give a report at the next board meeting.
Discussion
on the possibility of hiring a management service to handle the
logistics of setting and running our conference.
2005
Speakers
1. More utility speakers—John Raese.
2. Ray Dorsey brought up the issue that a lot of EMC permitting
is getting out of control with the use of broadcasting glyphosate
on DOT right-of-ways. Ray to send out a list of herbicides that
must be used as low volume spot control only.
3. President Raese asked the board members to bring names or suggestions
for speakers and topics to the next board meeting.
