Werner Kralick President- Contractors/Suppliers
Werner was born in Baltimore, Md. and graduated from Allegheny Community College with a degree in Forest Technology. He began his career with Osmose and held the positions of Foreman, Supervisor and District Manager with responsibilities in the pole test and treatment area and herbicide applications. Currently Werner is Osmose's Area Manager for the state of Georgia where he is responsible for sales, hiring, training and the supervision of District Managers. Werner married his rival high school sweetheart in 1974. Debbie and Werner were blessed with two children, Matthew in 1986 and Sarah in 1989. All four live in the Hampton area of Georgia!

William White – Vice President- Manufacturer
William received his M.B.A. from the University of Alabama and his Bachelor of Science degree from the Universtiy of Colorado where he studied Environmental Science and Geography. William is currently employed as a Vegetation Sales Specialist with BASF Chemical Company and his territory includes Georgia and Alabama. Prior to joining BASF, he worked in both advertising sales and banking. William, a native of Birmingham, Alabama, currently resides there.


Darrel Russell -Manufacturer
Darrel is an IVM Sale Specialist with Dow AgroSciences, primarily working in the Forestry market. Before joining Dow early in 2001, he spent 10 years selling and marketing Monsanto products in the Aquatic, Turf and Utilities markets. Darrell holds a BS degree from the University of Dayton and a Masters in Business Administration from Washington University. He is currently Treasurer of the GVMA.dwrussell@dow.com

Doug Jones  - Advisor
Doug graduated from Georgia Southern University with a B.S. in Biology in 1993, and a M.S. in Biology in 1996. Began employment with the Georgia Department of Agriculture as a Pesticide Field Agent in February, 1996, and was promoted to Special Project Coordinator in the Georgia Department of Agriculture Pesticide Division later that same year. From 1998 to present, has served as Agriculture Manager II in the Pesticide Division, and is responsible for the certification and licensing program as it pertains to commercial and private pesticide applicators, commercial pesticide contractors, restricted use pesticide dealers, and treated timber processors and dealers. Also serves as state regulator and enforcement official with regard to all pesticide laws and regulations, including FIFRA, the Georgia Pesticide Use and Application Act, the Georgia Pesticide Control Act, EPA's Worker Protection Standard, the Georgia Treated Timber Products Act, and the Georgia Anti-Syphon Act. In addition, supervises the Worker Protection, Groundwater Protection, and Endangered Species programs, as well as the Georgia Clean Day Waste Pesticide Disposal program. Serves as an honorary member of the GVMA board in an advisory capacity. djones@agr.state.ga.us

Timothy B. Beale - Electric, Gas, Communication Utilities
Tim is the System Forester for Savannah Electric. He received his B.S degree in Forestry and Wildlife from Virginia Tech in 1988 and is currently working towards an M.B.A. from Georgia Southern University. He has worked for Savannah Electric since 1993 and he previously worked for Environmental Consultants from 1989-1993 doing line clearance related work. He also worked for a line clearance contractor in 1988. Tim is an ISA Certified Arborist / Utility Specialist, holds a Georgia Pesticide Applicators License, and is a member of several professional organizations.

Ray Dorsey - (Georgia Dept. of Transportation)
A North Carolina Native, Ray has been involved in the green Industry in some way most of his life. He obtained his B.S. Degree in Landscape Horticulture from Colorado State University in 1988. Since that Time he has been involved with the sod farming trade, erosion control Consultation and his current position as agronomist for the Georgia Department of Transportation.

Tim R. Murphy - Advisor
Tim, a native of Knoxville, Tennessee, completed his B.S. degree in Agriculture at Berea College and his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees at Clemson University. He joined the University of Georgia in 1985 and is currently a Professor in the Crop and Soil Sciences Department in Griffin, Georgia. He currently is responsible for extension weed science efforts in turfgrasses, noncropland and forage crops. Tim also conducts turfgrass weed science research and teaches the weed science portion of a Turfgrass Pest Management course at the Athens campus. tmurphy@uga.edu

Dan McMillan - Treasurer - Manufacturers/Distributors
Dan is the IVM Team Manager for UAP Timberland LLC located in Greensboro, GA since 1993. He was born and raised in Laurinburg, NC. Dan graduated from Wake Forest University, Winston-Salem, NC with a B.S. degree in Business Administration. Dan has had previous employment with Farm Chemicals, Inc., Velsicol Chemical and Sandoz Chemical before joining UAP Timberland in 1994. He has been in the agricultural and industrial herbicide business since 1976. He is a member of the SC, FL and GA Vegetation Management Associations and the International Arborist Society. Dan is a Georgia Certified Pesticide Applicator and a Certified Arborist with the ISA. He is a past President and current board member of the GVMA. He was instrumental in getting the GVMA established and been with it since it's beginning. Dan and wife Peggy reside in Augusta, Georgia, and have three boys.

Mark Heffley - Electric Cooperatives
Mark is the System Forester for Georgia Transmission Corporation. He has received a Master's Degree in Forestry from Duke University and is a Registered Forester in Georgia and California, a certified Georgia and Florida Pesticide Applicator, and an ISA Certified Arborist. Mark is a member of ISA, the Utility Arborist Association and the California Licensed Forester's Association. His work experience includes fifteen years of vegetation management with electric utilities including Seattle City Light and Florida Power and Light and he has worked as a consultant to Puget Power, Pacific Gas and Electric, Hawaii Electric and Snohomish PUD. mark.heffley@gatrans.com

Mark Dennis - Advisor
Mark graduated from the West Telfair Academy and began his electric utility career as a first class lineman with Little Ocmulgeee EMC. In his 18 years at Little Ocmulgee, he also held the positions of purchasing agent and safety coordinator. In 1999 Mark joined Georgia Rural Electric Supply Corporation where he is currently employed as a sales representative. Mark holds certifications for Safety and Truck Inspections and has lived and worked in Georgia his entire life.

Jerry McGukin - Advisor
Jerry recently retired after 30 + years with Shell Chemical Company and Dupont Chemical Company where he was involved in sales and account management in the row crop industry before moving in 1998 to District Sales Manager for IVM . Jerry graduated from Auburn University in 1970 with a BS degree in Agriculture Science. He is a past President of the Alabama Agriculture Association, and currently a member of the SC, GA, FL, and AL Vegetation Management Societies, SEEPPC, FLEPPC, FAPMS, SFAPMS, ISA,
and NRVMA. He holds a Commercial Pesticide Applicators license, and is a Certified Arborist/Utility Specialist. Jerry and his wife, Elizabeth, reside in Perry, Georgia and are the proud parents of two daughters.

Steve Stewart - Electric, Gas, Communications Utility
Steve is currently the Forestry& R/W Services Supervisor for the Southern Region of Georgia Power Company. He received a B.S. in Forest Management from Auburn University in 1974, is a Licensed Pesticide Applicator in Georgia, is an ISA Certified Arborist and is a Registered Forester with the state of Georgia. Upon graduation from Auburn he worked for Georgia Power in Columbus for 17 years, in Brunswick for 11 years and moved into his current job in Macon in 2000. In all he has been with Georgia Power for 30 years, all of which have been in vegetation management. He has experience in both transmission and distribution R/W maintenance as well as substation grounds and bare ground maintenance.

Jamie GranthamElectric, Gas, Communications Utility
Jamie is currently employed at Flint Energies as Assistant right of way manger. He has worked as an apprentice lineman for Sumter EMC and as a foreman on right of way crew for 14 years. Jamie is an ISA certified arborist utility specialist. He is a graduate of the electrical hazard awareness program offered by the national arborist association and completed the tvppa lineman program. Jamie as been called on many times to assist with hurricane damaged areas and has worked as an instructor in gemc’s right of way training program. He has been married to Dawn Grantham for 10 years and has two children, Marie and Tyler. The couple lives in Ellaville Georgia.

Mike WilliamsContractors/Suppliers
Mike is the Asstistant Operation Manager in Georgia For Townsend Tree Service. Mike has been working in the Utility R/W Vegetation Management Industry for 32 yrs, contracting with various Utilities throughout Georgia. He is an ISA Certified Arborist, Qualified Line Clearance Arborist and a licensed Ga. Pesticide Applicator. Mike is also a member of the Urban Forest Council, the National Arbor Day Foundation, and the ISA in Georgia and has lived and worked in Georgia all of his life. Mike has been happily married for 32 yrs and he and his wife are the proud parents of 2 sons.

Ricky Dockery - Electric, Gas, Communications Utility
Ricky has been employed at Amicalola EMC for 22 years. He began his career with Amicalola working on ROW and line crews. During his years at Amicalola, Ricky has promoted to crew foreman and eventually to the position of District Vegetation Manager. He has held a Georgia Certified Pesticide Applicator's license for 15 years in the Wood Treatment classification and is also an ISA Certified Arborist, Certified Utility Specialist and a Certified Troubleman. Ricky is a graduate of the Electrical Hazard Awareness Program
offered by the National Arborist Association and has worked as a vegetation management instructor in GEMC's ROW Training program.

In addition, Ricky has received the GEMC Life-Saving award for pulling a collapsed man from a nearby brush fire and also volunteers at local fire departments where he speaks on electrical safety.  Ricky has been married to Regina Dockery for 21 years. The couple lives in Dahlonega, Georgia and are active in the Oak Grove Baptist Church.

Ronald Harris – Georgia Department of Transportation

Ronald graduated in 1975 from Robert E Lee High School and from Gordon Jr. College in 1978. Ronald owned and operated Harris Tree Service from 1976 until 1996. He began his career with the Georgia Department of Transportation in 1980 where Ronald is now the Southern Agronomist for the State, and a certified Arborist. His hobbies include raising horses and building cars and trucks with his son at his home near Thomaston, GA.

Eddy Yarbrough - Electric, Gas, Communications Utility
Eddy has been employed with Sawnee EMC for 18 years. He has been in management for 12 years in the right of way department. Eddy is an ISA Certified Arborist, an ISA Certified Utility Arborist Specialist, an ISA Certified Tree worker specialist, and a Certified Pesticide applicator. He is also an Instructor for the GEMC right of way school. Eddy also makes time for his own business, which does tree removal and consulting. Eddy has been married to Jena for 12 years and has two daughters, Ashlyn and Madison.
